Where will my session take place?
The location depends on the session type. Lifestyle sessions can take place in your home. Outdoor sessions take place outdoors at your choice of location locally (upstate SC) or worldwide. There may be an additional travel fee for locations over 15 miles from Simpsonville, SC.
When will my session take place?
Outdoor sessions start about 1-1.5 hours before sunset. This will change throughout the year, so the start time depends on the date of your session. Please try to arrive 15 minutes early for your outdoor session! This allows children to wake up from the car ride over and get warmed up and ready to go. Also, please make sure your clothing is clean and without wrinkles. Retouching does not include clothing wrinkle removal.
If we are doing a lifestyle session in your home, it will depend on when your house gets the best light- but most likely that will also be late morning/mid-day.
When will I receive my photos?
All completed galleries will be done within three weeks! You will receive an email with your online gallery. Sneak peaks are usually posted on Instagram within 3 days.
What should I wear for photos?
I always suggest long flowy dresses, linens, textures, and earthy colors. Try to pick a few colors that coordinate rather than matchy-match situations. Steer clear from logos, writing on shirts, or flashy/neon colors. Also, I LOVE to help- I’m available via email or messenger to chat about outfits or help you decide! What happens if it rains?
If the forecast is cloudy- that’s perfectly fine! Cloudy days make for great and flattering lighting on faces. Often, cloudy days turn into amazing sunsets anyway. If there is a high chance of rain, we will reschedule outdoor sessions. Indoor sessions are fine if it’s not sunny because I have lighting that I will bring to make sure you all look amazing!
